Uses in perfumery: Provides Aldehydic facet in green, chypre, rose, floral-violet, tuberose notes. Smell is greener and less zesty-lemon than Aldehyde C11 Undecylic. Aldehydes C12 are more orange and less butyric. C8 is less green.
Natural availability: Present in trace amounts in Coriander Leaf Essential Oil but is not extracted in its natural state.

Odor Description: Diffusive spicy musk strong floral woody sweet aromatic coniferous and amber notes. Often associated with Kephalis and more generally with woody-ambergris and tobacco notes.
Ebanol is a rich, strong-sandalwood compound from Givaudan which is considerably diffusive.

Odour – Ebanol is an interesting sandalwood-like compound which has a nutty, intense, maple syrup-like aroma. Perhaps one of the sweetest woody raw materials. It is diffusive and lends depth to a fragrance.
Perfume Uses – For, muguet, chypre, fixative, carnation, modern-green-florals, jasmine
