Lemon eucalyptus, also known as eucalyptus citriodora, a refreshing and invigorating aromatherapy oil that is perfect for promoting respiratory health, boosting immunity, and relieving muscle pain. It is steam distilled from the leaves of the lemon eucalyptus tree and has a fresh, lemony scent.

 

A study published in the Journal of the American Mosquito Control Association found that lemon eucalyptus essential oil was effective at repelling mosquitoes for up to 6 hours. Another study published in the Journal of Insect Science found that lemon eucalyptus essential oil was effective at repelling ticks for up to 4 hours.

To use lemon eucalyptus essential oil as an insect repellent, you can diffuse it in your home or yard, add it to a carrier oil and apply it to your skin, or use it in a homemade insect repellent spray.

It is important to note that lemon eucalyptus essential oil is not as effective as DEET, which is the most common insect repellent. However, it is a natural option that is safe for most people to use.
